My hair is pulled back, wisps blow in the wind. A car pulls up, the guy inside offers a ride. I take the hand, strong and used. His eyes welcome the future, his smile embraces the past.
The engine purrs, as my mind stirs. We pull away; a simple message is lost to the breeze. I hope one day you find it, buried beneath the dirt. That old piece of paper, lost for some time.
